Gas Should Keep Dropping Over Next Month

Oct 4, 2013 7:23 AM

Driversarecatching a break at the pump these days. Gas prices have dropped significantly over the past month and GasBuddy.com’s Patrick DeHaan says it might stay that way for a while.

DeHaan says a higher gas inventory is helping drive the costs down, along with several other factors.

Drivers are paying an average of three-44 for a gallon of regular gas in Illinois. Of course it’s a bit higher in metropolitan areas and lower in rural areas. DeHaan says gas is almost 50-cents lower now than it was this time last year.
