Shutdown Could Mean Lower Gas Prices

Thegovernment shutdown could eventually save drivers money at the pump. GasBuddy.com’s Patrick DeHaan explains how.

DeHaan says the shutdown hasn’t made an impact on gas prices yet, but it certainly could. Illinois drivers are already catching a break at the pump. Prices have continued to drop over the past several weeks, down about 50-cents compared to this time last year. DeHaan says there are several reasons for that, including the fact that there seems to be some resolve with the Syrian crisis.
