Southern Door Travels To Kewaunee Tonight On 102.1 FM WRKU

After winning two games in a row the Eagles enter week 7 with a full head of steam. However, they have one of their toughest matchups of the season tonight when they travel to play the Kewaunee Storm. The Storm come in ranked sixth in the state for Division 6 and are on pace to make a run for the conference title. Tonight's game will feature the top two quarterbacks in the conference leading to a possible shootout.

Do not count this Eagles team out when they proved they can come back from a deficit like they did last week against Sturgeon Bay. The Eagles offense has been clicking on all cylinders with balanced pass and rushing attacks. Mitchel Neubauer is the commander and chief for that offense and if he is on against the Storm it could be a shoot out early. Nolen Wagner, coming off another 100 yard rushing game, gives Southern Door a good one two punch and opens the field for Neubauer to get the ball to his playmakers in Mitchell Gerend, Trevor Hawkey and Austin Rohe. The Eagles must put up points and score early and often.

Defensively, the Eagles will play the top quarterback in the conference in Caleb Johnson. The Eagles to have any chance must keep him in check and put pressure on him all game. Johnson and the Storm are tough team, so expect a high scoring game.
