Cards Crush Pirates In Game One Of NLDS

Carlos Beltran belted a three-run homer to jump start a seven-run third inning as the Cardinals crushed the Pirates 9-1 in Game One of the NLDS at Busch Stadium.  David Freese added a two-run single during the big inning for the Redbirds, who took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series.  Adam Wainwright struck out nine over seven innings of one-run, three-hit ball for the win.  Game Two is today.
