Southern Door Students Will Get The Latest Health And Wellness Skills Thanks To Grant

Students in the Southern Door school district will be learning to live healthier lives as a $460-thousand grant is implanted over the next year. Superintendent Patti Vickman says the grant will allow teachers to get up to speed on the latest in health and nutrition.

As far as the students go, Vickman says some new technology will be available so they can monitor progress.

The grant money can only be used for certain specific purposes, according to Vickman. It can not, for example, be used to restore cut programs or in construction projects
