Bring Fido Along To Geneva's Barktober Fest

Pooches are more than welcome to join their owners Saturday for Geneva's first ever Barktober Fest and Fun Run. This unique fundraising event at Lake Front Park will help bring in the 30 to 40 thousand dollars needed to build a dog park downtown on South Exchange Street.

Geneva City Recreation Director Janelle Drach says much of the money is for materials, since they are hoping to get volunteer labor in the spring.

Barktober Fest runs from 10:00 to 1:00.
