Jr. Tigers fall; Team Black rolls in Flag Football

The West Liberty-Salem Jr. High football team lost to Springfield Catholic 42-8 Thursday night.

Braden Miller scored a touchdown and Kody Thurman added a two-point conversion.

West Liberty Flag Football:

Team Black beat Team Orange 4-1 to remain unbeaten at 4-0.

Dylan Wing tossed touchdown passes to Jacob Griffith, Jayden Temple, and Braden Eschelman. Gabe McGill added a rushing TD.

For Orange, now 2-2, Peyton Hull had a TD pass to Joey LaRoche.

Team White tied Team Gray 2-2.

For White, now 0-3-1, Gabriel Boysel and Cody Crawford each had rushing touchdowns. Crawford paced the defense with two interceptions.

For Gray, now 1-2-1, James Powell tossed 2 TDs to Eli Allen. Powell led the Gray defense with an interception.

Next Thursday at 6 pm at Lions Park, Team Orange (2-2) takes on Team White (0-2-1) and Team Gray (1-2-1) plays Team Black (4-0).
