Last night on 102.1 FM WRKU Southern Door lost to Kewaunee 48-7.
For a quarter and a half it looked like both Southern Door and Kewaunee would be in a close game. Kewaunee got on the scoreboard first on a rushing touchdown from Dylan Baxby, then after a three and out by the Eagles, the storm answered with a 16 yard touchdown run by Lamarco Crawford.
The Eagles found the scoreboard in the second quarter on fourth-and-fifteen when Mitchel Neubauer found Trevor Hawkey from 23 yards out. Then after a defense of stop, the Eagles turned the ball over and that is when Kewaunee took over. Following the turnover, the Storm capitalized and scored twice before the half. At halftime the score was 28-7 Storm.
The second half was all Caleb Johnson and Kewaunee. The Storm added two quick scores putting the game out of reach and running clock in motion.
For Kewaunee, Johnson had four total touchdowns. The Eagles were led by Nolen Wagner who ran for 95 yards on 24 carries and Neubauer with a passing touchdown with 65 yards passing.
