A popular road on the north side of Urbana will be closed for several weeks.

Dellinger Road between North Main Street (Route 68) and Clark Road/East Lawn Avenue will be closed to thru traffic for about six weeks.

The City of Urbana and Salem Township Trustees are working together to improve the site distance at the intersection of Dellinger Road and North Julia Street by lowering the hill. The City of Urbana is also extending a sewer line eastward through the lowered hill. This work is being funded in part by a grant from the Ohio Public Works Commission.

The work will begin either during the week of October 14th or October 21st. The road will officially close to thru traffic. Local access will be maintained for local residents in the project area. Residents on North Julia Street will be required to access their properties from Dellinger Road via North Main Street. The roadway is scheduled for reopen in late November or early December.
