Illinois health advocates want state lawmakers to heap even more regulations on the use of e-cigarettes. A ban on the sale of e-cigarettes to minors goes in effect January 1st. But health advocates want the state to add e-cigarettes to the Illinois Smoke-Free Act. Illinois' public health department is waiting for the FDA to make a recommendation on e-cigarettes before it imparts regulations of its own.
