If you want cheaper gas, you drive to Missouri. However, gas prices in the Riverbend and the Metro East are close to the lowest in the country. A Lundberg survey shows in the past two weeks, the cost dropped 13-point-seven cents a gallon for an average price of about three-dollars-38 cents. That's 45-cents lower than one year ago. Drivers in the St. Louis are paying about $3.00 a gallon which is currently the lowest in the country.
Prices in the Riverbend dropped about 6-cents on Sunday to a low of $3.13 at some stations this morning. It's now below 3-dollars in much of St. Louis for regular unleaded. San Francisco drivers are pumping the most money into their gas tanks with an average price of three-dollars-88 cents.
