Yates 4-H Looking to Add New Members

Yates County 4-H is always looking to attract new members into its group. Jennifer Clancy is 4-H and Youth Development Educator with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Yates County. She tells us there's two different types of membership, club and independent and that most parents believe their child will initially be enrolled into a club membership.

Clancey says club membership has decreased in recent years because members age out and there's a lack of volunteers. New members now are being enrolled as independents.

4-H is open to youth that are 4 years old and enrolled in kindergarten, through the age of 19. To enroll your child or to volunteer with Yates County 4-H at 315-536-5123
