Local FFA students attend leadership conference

The Ohio Hi-Point Riverside FFA students attended the second annual Ohio FFA Legislative Leadership Conference last week held at the Statehouse in Columbus.

A spokesman for the Ohio Farm Bureau opened the conference about how FFA members can influence elected officials on agricultural issues.
Riverside FFA officers had the opportunity to tour the Statehouse and speak with Senator Cliff Hite, who expressed to members why he values agricultural education and the FFA.
Finally, the FFA officers ate lunch with several elected officials and listened to remarks by the Ohio FFA Officer Team.
