Investigators determine cause of house explosion in Ripley

An investigation by Chautauqua County Fire Investigators and National Fuel Gas have determined the cause of the explosion of a single story house in Ripley on Monday. Chautauqua County Sheriff Joseph Gerace says the owner of the house at 24 Lakeview Avenue, had apparently tried to fix the gas line break himself.
Gerace-Homeowner apparently made repair
Gerace says it's fortunate that there were no injuries. The sheriff advises anyone with gas line break or leak should report it immediately to their utility.
