Too Many House Fires Start In The Kitchen

In a high number of house and apartment fires nationwide and in Geneva, the starting point is often in the Kitchen. Geneva Fire Chief Mike Combs tells us the prime focus this year for Fire Prevention Week is kitchen safety. Combs has seen too many calls involving stove accidents.

50 year old Robert Ragin of Geneva died in a house fire on Wadsworth Avenue in June of 2012. That blaze was the result of a cooking accident.
