Area soccer teams hit the field Tuesday.
The West Liberty-Salem varsity girls shut out Springfield Catholic 2-0.
Kelsi Dowden and Morgan Freyhof each scored.
Abigail Rabenstein and Freyhof each delivered an assist.
April Kelley recorded 6 saves in goal.
The Lady Tigers improve to 11-3 overall and 9-2 in league play and travel to Greeneview Thursday.
The JV Lady Tigers fell to Lehman 3-0.
Bell Clark made 20 saves in the loss.
The Calvary Christian varsity lost to Fairlawn 5-1.
Daniel Salmonowicz scored the Spartans lone goal.
Calvary Christian was short-handed the second half because of a red card.
The Spartans are 10-1-1.
They will host Dominion Academy in the first round of the Ohio Christian Schools Athletic Association state tournament.
County Junior High Soccer:
Bellefontaine blanked Benjamin Logan Black 7-0.
Lilli LeVan and Drew Jackson each scored 2 goals and Aubrey Stolly, Sean McClain, and Trisha Sales each added a goal.
Jaydric Clifton, EJ Edu, Robby Weikart, and Lilli LeVan each tallied an assist.
LCS Elite defeated Benjamin Logan Gold 11-1.
Kaleb Benny, Ethan Pequignot, and Logan Ingle each scored 2 goals and Nikolas Vance, Xander Vance, Cole Overbey, Jade Lewis, and Seth Leek each added a score.
Nikolas Vance, Ingle, and Pequignot each contributed an assist.
For Gold, Dylan Plikerd scored a goal.
Calvary Christian beat West Liberty 2 4-1.
Jon Salmonowicz, Pete Kratz, Josh Kilgore, and Rylan Studebaker each recorded a goal.
Kratz, Kilgore, and Salmonowicz each delivered an assist.
Garrett Criner made 6 saves in goal.
The Spartans improve to 13-0.
