Three fallen firefighters from WNY recognized in Albany

Three Western New York firefighters, including one from Chautauqua County, were posthumously honored yesterday at the New York State Fallen Firefighters Memorial. Ron Keddie, a 41-year member of the Sheridan Fire Department, was among the fallen firefighters that were recognized according to State Senator Cathy Young.

Young, who attended the ceremony says we must never forget the fact that our first responders risk their lives every day. A total of nine firefighters from across the state were honored during the ceremony in Albany. Ron Keddie was also honored during the annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service in Maryland on Sunday.
