Results from a park district survey, the annexation of land, along with zoning for a current business in the village tops the agenda this evening for officials in Hillcrest. The board meeting begins at 7 in the Village Hall Building.
Village officials heard a proposal last month dealing with future improvements at Powers Park. The project included 2 entry ways and a parking lot, a shelter, new playground equipment, along with a 1/4 mile walking path and upgrades to the baseball field.
The annexation involves 7 acres of land on Bethel Road owned by Jana Gruber and Joe Cagle.
The zoning issue has Regional Ready Mix relocating near the intersection of Illinois 251 North and Lind Road. They have been along River Road in Hillcrest for more than 7 years.
Spring road repairs, insurance for the village, along with an ordinance regarding storm water management are also on the agenda tonight.
The Hillcrest Village Board meeting is open to the public.
