Lady Chiefs roll on Senior Night - Volleyball finals

A few area volleyball teams played Tuesday night.

The Bellefontaine varsity team swept Tipp City on Senior Night. The scores were 25-20, 25-20, and 25-18.

Seniors Kameren Haley, Jazmyn Haley, Jordan Lininger, and Carley Strzalka played their final home match.

Jazmyn Haley led the way with 9 kills, 14 digs, 2 solo blocks, and was 13-for-13 serving.

Kenzie Brunswick had 12 kills and 9 digs, Kameren Haley recorded 6 kills and 6 digs, Jordan Lininger tallied 25 assists and 12 digs, Carley Strzalka delivered 7 digs and was 11-for-11 serving, and Amanda Case added 5 digs.

The JV Lady Chiefs fell to the Red Devils 25-15, 25-21.

Caitlin Hollar had 10 digs. Monica Martz led the team in serves and kills.

The freshman Chiefs lost 25-14, 25-23.

Bellefontaine (13-8) will travel to Springfield Shawnee Thursday night for their final match of the regular season.

The Benjamin Logan varsity lost to Urbana in straight sets. The scores were 25-15, 25-13, and 25-21.

Taylor Quay had 6 kills and 3 blocks. Alex Thompson recorded 4 kills and 2 blocks.

Benjamin Logan is 13-8 overall and 6-3 in the CBC.

The JV Raiders outlasted the Hillclimbers 23-25, 25-20, and 25-14 to improve to 16-2.

Autumn Walborn had 9 kills and 3 blocks. Ashley Wilkins and Bri Frazier each added 4 kills.

Benjamin Logan will host Greenon Thursday for Senior Night. The JV match starts at 5:30.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity team lost to Springfield Catholic in three games. The scores were 25-16, 25-12, and 25-8.

Jamie Peterson had 9 kills and Rachel Ritter tallied 7 digs.

The Tigers are 11-10 overall and 8-5 in the OHC.

The JV Tigers beat the Irish in three sets. The scores were 17-25, 25-16, and 25-18.

Abby Stewart had 6 kills, 9 points, and 2 aces. Miranda Etgen recorded 9 points. Olivia Ames delivered 12 digs and 4 aces.

The JV Tigers are 8-10, 7-6.

The Riverside varsity lost to perennial power Lehman in three games. The scores were 25-11, 25-8, and 25-6.

Kerri Meade blasted 5 kills, Sam Egbert recorded 7 digs, Taylor Stevens tallied 5 digs, Brooke Hickey had 6 assists, and Jessica Davis added 4 points.
