A 22-year-old South Dayton man is facing charges of identity theft, petit larceny, and two counts of felony possession of a forged instrument after being arrested by State Troopers on Tuesday. A lengthy investigation led Troopers to Michael Ramirez II after a South Dayton resident contacted the police when she noticed some missing checks along with several hundred dollars that had disappeared from her checking account. Ramirez was arraigned in court and then remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of bail. He will appear in court on a later date to address the charges.
