Too Much Texting Could Lead To Neck Pain

Oct 10, 2013 6:50 AM

Constantly looking down at your smartphone to text, email or surf the Internet could hurt your neck.  Chiropractors at the Cleveland Clinic say "text neck" can be corrected by holding your phone at eye-level so you're not looking down.  When neck muscles become unbalanced, it could  also lead to poor posture, headaches and arthritis.  Dr. Bang says he started seeing more and more teens with neck pain five years ago and noticed they were all sitting in the waiting room looking down at their smartphones.
