Duckworth Reunited With Medic Who Saved Her Life

Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth has been reunited with the Army medic who saved her life. Scott Gillis met up with Duckworth at the Capital about a week ago, shocked that she’d survived the 2004 grenade attack that left her with both legs amputated. He’d never thought of her again after he’d worked on her when she was rushed into his hospital tent. But, he says it all came back to him last year as he watched the Democratic National Convention on television and she walked on stage with her prosthetic legs. Gillis says it was a surprisingly painful moment for him but he was very proud to see she’s made it.
