Mason Crosby Wins NFC Special teams Player Of The Week Award

Consistency, confidence and accuracy, the three things Packers kicker Mason Crosby was lacking last season and for most of the pre-season and training camp. Somehow and somewhere the switch turned back on for Crosby as he has not missed a kick yet this season.

The Packers veteran tied a franchise record last week with five field goals against the Detroit Lions. His effort landed him the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week Award.

Crosby has converted all nine field-goal attempts this season and has made 13 consecutive regular-season field goals dating back to 2012.

He leads the NFC with the most field goals made (nine) without a miss.In his seventh season from Colorado, this is Crosby’s fifth career Player of the Week Award and first since 2011 (Week 7).

Crosby’s five Special Teams Player of the Week Awards are tied with Ryan Longwell
for the most in franchise history.
