The Democratic candidate for Chautauqua County Executive says he's so certain that the county's recent history of massive job losses can be turned around, he's willing to risk his political future on it. Fredonia businessman Ron Johnson announced Wednesday afternoon that if he can't begin turning around the county's 7-thousand-plus job loss of the past seven-years into growth by the end of his first 3-years, he won't seek re-election. Johnson held a news conference in front of the vacant AFA Foods plant near Ashville, where 100 jobs were lost in the past year.
