Lyons wraps up Bellefontaine golf career

Bellefontaine senior golfer Cody Lyons competed in the Division I District Tournament at Weatherwax Golf Club in Middletown Thursday.

Cody ended his high school golf career shooting a 79. He finished 2 strokes better than his junior year tally.

Bellefontaine Coach Ryan Sawmiller commented, "It was an end to a great high school career and a good senior year for Cody. He led this team all year and took on the role of team leader in stride. He took some of the younger guys under his wing to get the most out of their games and show them the ropes of high school golf. He is a real class act and has strong values and beliefs. Cody will go far in life because of his competitiveness and drive to succeed and work to accomplish goals. Hats off to him and the support from his family."
