Our Daily Show talks with Pink Elephant Antique Mall marketing director Suzann Hormell about Halloween activities at the Livingston, Illinois, business, including the Area 66 Haunted School, a low-scare fundraiser, a pumpkin-themed egg hunt, free bounce houses and a vendor market. Hormell also discusses the mall’s holiday shopping events and how portions of haunted-house proceeds support the Livingston Fire Department and local organizations.

Ashley Santoni, an administrator of the Momma’s Free Swap Facebook group, explains how the Riverbend-area group connects families with free, gently used items. She also discusses a community food drive aiming to assemble 20 to 25 Thanksgiving baskets, each intended to feed a family of 10. At the time of the interview, nonperishable donations were being collected at Cleary’s Shoes in Wood River, Dolce’s Cafe in Alton and Trust Family Auto Sales in Godfrey, with a November 7 collection target.
