Madison County history and Living History Days with Cindy and Mark

Cindy and Mark of the Madison County Historical Society discuss the county’s history, the Society’s preservation work and its archive library, which remains open while the museum undergoes renovations. They share examples ranging from Cahokia and Elijah P. Lovejoy to Leclaire, family records and artifacts that document everyday life.

The conversation previews Living History Days, scheduled in the interview for October 2–4, with events at the Colonel Benjamin Stevenson House, the Edwardsville Book Fair, the Yanda Log Cabin and a Sunday Chautauqua featuring historical figures.
