Pride Beautification vice president Natalie Merrill and executive director Pat Stewart join Our Daily Show Interviews to discuss Alton’s Oct. 3 citywide litter cleanup, which begins at 9 a.m. They explain how individuals, families, schools and businesses can volunteer, request assigned cleanup areas and earn community service hours.

Volunteers can receive bags, gloves, safety vests and litter pickers, with registration points planned for downtown, Middletown and Upper Alton. Supplies are also available in advance at the Alton Visitor Center, Pride’s office at the Benjamin Godfrey Mansion in Godfrey and Flock.

The guests also discuss year-round beautification efforts across the Riverbend, including Broadway flags, self-watering planters and partnerships with the City of Alton, Great Rivers and Routes, local schools, nonprofits and businesses.
