Taxi cab driver stabbed more than dozen times at Atwood in Alton

ALTON - The Alton Police Department is investigating an armed taxi cab stabbing that left the driver injured late Wednesday night at Atwood Street.

Alton Police Department spokesperson Emily Hejna confirmed Thursday morning the taxi cab driver stabbing did occur about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Hejna said Alton Police will release more information about the case later in the day.
