BRANSON, Mo. — Many have visited the legendary fan favorite rollercoaster in their lifetimes - Fire In The Hole - but now at age 51, it is getting an upgrade.

Silver Dollar City officially closed the original Fire In The Hole at the end of last season, sending out its last rides on the park's final day of operation, Dec. 30, 2023.
The park finally set a date and the new-and-improved Fire In The Hole experience is scheduled to have its grand opening on March 30, 2024.
But guests and coaster enthusiasts might not have to wait that long as it seems the ride will be having a soft opening.
The ride will be operating "periodically" during the park's Spring Break festival from March 9-March 24.
