February is National Responsible Pet Ownership Month, and Purina Farms is celebrating by giving the greater St. Louis area a unique opportunity to take advantage of low-cost pet care offers and to learn about the basics of caring pets as a part of the family. Only cash will be accepted for microchipping, nail trims and vaccinations. Admission and parking are free.

Walk-ups only! • Low-cost microchipping by Open Door Animal Sanctuary ($20) (cash only) • Low-cost spay & neuter offers featuring a list of veterinarians participating in the $10 spay/neuter OpSPOT "TenSPOT Fix" March program • Nail trims for $5 by the Evolution Working Dog Club • Complimentary “Do It Yourself Dog Washing Station” • Disaster Preparedness provided by Boles Fire Protection District • Ask The Expert Booths featuring a vet tech, obedience and behavior trainer, dog sports trainer and nutritionists • $2 engraved pet ID tags • Supply drive for pet welfare organizations • Adoptable Pets from the Franklin County Humane Society • Kids education area hosted by the Humane Society of Missouri where each child takes home a stuffed animal (while supplies last) • Flying disc entertainment at 12:30p.m. by the Purina Incredible Dog Team and a canine demo by the Multi County Narcotics and Violent Crimes Enforcement Unit at 1p.m.
