Alan L. Perry, 86, passed away on January 7, 2014 in Danville, Indiana.
He was born in Alton, IL on April 11, 1927.
Alan served in the Army in Italy and Germany during WW II.
He married Jeannine Richards on October 23, 1953 in Alton, IL.
Alan was a teacher at Alton High School for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, wood working and was a longtime member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Alton before moving to Indiana.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Alan L. Perry Jr.; and one daughter, Susan E. (Richard) Mason.
In addition to his parents, P.L. Perry and Ruth (Bauser) Perry, he was preceded in death by one sister, Laveda Kuhn.
Visitation will be from 1 pm until time of service at 2 pm on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, Illinois.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to Main Street United Methodist Church in Alton.
