Alice Preis

Alice Faye Preis, 77, passed away at 10:59 a.m. on Sunday, July 1, 2018.She was born on January 28, 1941 in Cave City Arkansas the daughter of Burl W. and Lillian (Miller) Provence.She married William “Bill” Preis. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2011.Alice was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church for several years. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed gardening and decorating. Alice was a licensed pilot, a real estate agent and a licensed Ham Radio Operator.She is survived by a son, David Preis of Alton; a daughter, Sandra (Mike) Hornsey of Godfrey; two sisters, Linda Chapman of Mountain Home, AR, Larraine (Roger) Buresh of Gassville AR; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dave and Vicki Hoxsie and Ivan and Carolyn Preis. and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by a brother, Paul Provence.Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church in Alton with Rev.
