Charles Marvin "Willie" Wilson, 79, passed away 7:20 a.m. Sunday, December 27, 2015 in Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Wood River on February 11, 1936, he was the son of Leonard F. and Blanche M. (Cox) Wilson.
A U.S. army veteran, he worked as a mill wright for Laclede Steel 37 years before retiring in 1995.
He married Frances L. Hubbard on October 5, 1969 in Wood River. She died in 1991. He then married Yvonne S. Boulch. She survives.
Surviving also are three sons, James (Tina) Olsen of Alton, Anthony Boulch of Del Ray Beach, FL, Brian (Ali) Barks of Staunton; two daughters, Laura (Chuck) Rose of Livingston, Dianna (Rich) Ufert of Rosewood Heights; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents; first wife; two brothers; and a sister.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the 1st Christian Church in Wood River. Walter McCaslin will officiate.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the 1st Christian Church in Wood River.
