Glen B. Cunningham, 100, formerly of East Alton, passed away at 2:40 a.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
Born on November 6, 1917 in Witt, IL, he was the son of Ben and Charolette (Bauerle) Cunningham.
He had been a welder for the Olin Corporation for 47 years before retiring in 1980. Glen was a Scout Leader with the Boy Scouts of America for 15 years and a member of the East Alton United Methodist Church.
On September 14, 1940 in Alton, he married N. Jane Fettinger. She died February 10, 1997.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald Cunningham of the Philippines, Tom Cunningham of Wood River; daughter, Vicki Matlock of Edwardsville; grandchildren, Josh, Geoff, Natalie, Erin, Mike and Sherri; four great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and three brothers, Leland, George and Billy Cunningham.
Visittion will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11 at the East Alton United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to Operation Blessing or East Alton United Methodist Church.
