Jeffrey Scott Ralston, 53, passed away at 3:50 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015 at OSF St. Anthony’s Hospital Emergency Room.
Born Sept. 25, 1961 in Wood River, he was a son of Floyd E. Ralston and Hallie (Cox) Williams.
He worked as an electrician and did construction work. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking, and loved his cats and fish.
Survivors include his longtime companion Denise Stamper of East Alton; a son, Josh; 6 brothers, Herb (Kathy) Ralston of Bunker Hill, Darrell Ralston and his companion Donna of Fieldon, Darren Ralston of Alton, Joe Williams and Dana Williams, both of East Alton, and Chris Williams of Godfrey; 2 sister, Sandra Naylor of Tulsa, Okla. and Debra Buck of East Alton; a step brother, Dana Grindstaff of Alton; and a stepsister, Connie Emmons of East Alton; and his stepmother, Betty H. (Hardesty) Ralston of Alton.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother; a brother, Dennis Ralston; a stepsister, Sherrie Grindstaff; and his grandparents, Glenn & Hazel Ralston and Perry & Rosetta Simpson.
The family will hold a memorial visitation Friday, Feb. 13 at Whitelaw Avenue Baptist Church in Wood River from 4 p.m. until memorial services begin at 5 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
