Lisbeth A. Klaustermeier (Dressen), 68, of Benld, IL, passed away at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 1:45 a.m. with her loving husband by her side. Liz was born October 16, 1955, in Hillsboro, IL to Robert Dressen & Jean Laws Dressen. She graduated Litchfield High School in 1973. She attended SIU Edwardsville. Liz married Jim Klaustermeier on March 17, 1978 at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, IL. They lived in St. Petersburg, FL for 28 years before moving to Benld, IL.
Liz loved working on the beach at The Miramar hotel while in Florida and then worked for various law firms after they moved to Benld to be near family and friends. She volunteered at Benld Adopt A Pet. Liz enjoyed painting, puzzles, gardening and her animals. Liz was preceded in death by her parents, step son, Jeff Klaustermeier, father in law and mother in law, Vernon and Dorothy Klaustermeier, brother in law, Vernon Klaustermeier Jr and nephew, James D. Dressen. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, James C. Klaustermeier, step son, Brad (Carla) Klaustermeier, step son, Eric (Karen) Parks, brothers, Dr. Fred (Joni) Dressen, Doug (Karyl) Dressen, sisters, Nancy (Don) Dressen - Krefft, Caroline (Gary) Thompson, grandchildren, Zachary, Kaylee, Keaton, Cole, Robert, great granddaughter, Tatum, many in laws and nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service for her family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 11 am - 4 pm at the Edwardsville Moose Lodge. Memorials should be made to the family.
