Michael S. Shaw, 76, of Dorsey, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018, in Dorsey.
Michael was born on April 20, 1941, in Carbondale, Illinois, the son of the late Elmer and Alice (Scates) Shaw. He married Bonnie (Voumard) Shaw on September 7, 1963 in Alton, Illinois. She survives.
He worked at Shell Refinery for 31 1/2 years. Michael enjoyed farming and did it for 45 years. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as camping, playing pickleball and going to the Donut shop.
Michael is survived by 3 children, Tanya K. Partridge of Bethalto, Todd M. (Amy) Shaw of Bethalto, and Tamma Miller of Bethalto; 5 grandchildren, Jake (Kacie) Miller, Sydnee Miller, Brady Partridge, Lillian Shaw, and Claire Shaw; 2 great grandchildren, Isabella Miller, Jackson Miller and another one on the way; a brother, Bill Shaw of Enid, Oklahoma; a sister, Kay Religo of Scottsdale, AZ.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Funeral services will be Monday, January 15, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastor Gary Steffaniak officiating, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
