Mitchell Leon Voorhees, 58, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at his home.
Born Apr. 3, 1960 in Alton, he was a son of Thomas and Ruth (Boker) Voorhees of Rosewood Heights.
He worked as a diesel mechanic for most of his life. He loved to fish and had a love for animals.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Laura Voorhees and Tim Terrell of Belleville and Emily McCall and her husband Joseph of Kimberling City, MO; a granddaughter on the way; three sisters, Susan Chapman and her husband Rob of Alton, Jan Poore of Rosewood Heights, and Linda Voorhees of California; and two brothers, Steve Voorhees of Wood River and Mike Voorhees and his wife Ricci of Rosewood Heights.
The family will hold memorial visitation at St. Paul United Methodist Church on Monday, June 4, from 10 a.m. until services begin at 12 p.m.
