Nellie Marie Gunter, 68, passed away at 10:35 am Friday, April 1, 2016 at Westchester House in Chesterfield, MO with her family by her side.
She was born in Alton, IL on March 17, 1948, the daughter of Robert and Nellie (Richardson) Epperheimer.
She was a kitchen supervisor for the Lincoln County Sherriff’s Department. She enjoyed bingo, red hats, fishing, camping and playing cards with the girls. She loved her dogs, Peanut and Angel and most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband of 45 years, she is survived by her children and their spouses, Frank and Pam Drew of Bethalto, Ginger and Allen Courto of Wood River and Tyke Gunter of Moscow Mills; four grandchildren, Ronnie Courto and his fiancé, Lisa Shewmake, Trisha and Tad Gowin, Brandon Drew and Mandy Drew and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister and a sister-in-law, Robin Beavers.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until services at 12:30 pm Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Pastor Brian McNealy officiating.
Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Breast Cancer Society or American Lung Association.
