Theran B. "Terry" Hampton, 54, passed away at 9:14am on Monday, October 5, 2009 at his residence. He was born on October 28, 1954 in Vandalia, Illinois the son of Alonzo and Lois A. (Jones) Hampton. Survivors include his parents of Roxana, one brother and sister in law: Brad and Martha Hampton of Alton, and one niece: Sarah Hampton of Alton.
He was formerly employed at Olin Winchester in the maintenance department. He also was formerly employed at the Wood River Hospital in the kitchen and at EVCO National in Wood River as a painter. He was an avid golfer and St. Louis Cardinals fan.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
In accordance with his wishes cremation rites will be accorded.
