Truman Eddy

Truman Dale Eddy, 84, passed away at 11:20 am Friday, January 15, 2016 at his home. He was born on November 18, 1931 in White Hall, IL, the son of Gus and Helen (Printy) Eddy.He married Robbie L. Wynn on February 2, 1952 in Pocahontas, AR.  She preceded him in death on November 20, 1988.Truman was a machine operator/furnace operator at Laclede Steel for 38 years, until his retirement in 1989.  He formerly served on the Bethalto Volunteer Fire Department and the Bethalto Homecoming Committee.  He enjoyed watching westerns on TV, fishing, hunting and most of all spending time with his family and friends.He is survived by three children and their spouses, Robert Eddy, Debra Eddy and Mike and Ranita Eddy all of Bethalto; seven grandchildren, Greg Wright, Brad (Tina) Wright, Jonny (Cassie) Wright, Megan (Justin) Stewart, JoAnna (Mike) Haston, Michael (Jessica) Eddy and Kayla Eddy; ten great grandchildren; his siblings, Pearle Eddy, Judy Northcutt and Faith and John Dellinger all of White Hall and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers, Everett Eddy, Gene Eddy, Preston Eddy and Billy Eddy and a sister, Mayme Davis. A memorial visitation will from 11:00 am until services at 12 noon Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Pastor Joe Frymier.Memorials may be made to the Bethalto Fire Department or Ivy Heights Church of God.Online condolences and guestbook may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
