Wilbur Lowell Beasley, 92, passed away 5:20 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2015 at St. Clare Extended Care Center in Alton.
Born on June 5, 1923 in Grassy, MO, he was the son of Estel and Susie Beasley.
He had been a machinist for Alton Box Board before he retired.
He married the former Marie Rea, then later married Marguerite (Bourland) Anderson. Both preceded in death.
Surviving are a son, Gary Beasley of South Carolina; daughters, Louise and Judy Beasley both of Bethalto, Arlene Susie Beasley of Wood River, Darlene Bumsted of Independence, IA; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Leo Beasley of Cottage Hills; and a sister, Oleda Flint of Florida.
His parents; wives; step-mother, Ruth Beasley; daughter, Jeanette Beasley; brother Cleo Beasley and sister, Norma Jean Porter all preceded in death.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Burial will follow in Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
