William H. “Bill” Randolph, 93, of Carrollton died on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, at Calhoun Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hardin.
Born in Jerseyville on Jan. 2, 1929, he was the son of the late Watson and Augusta (Steckel) Randolph. He married the former Adele Tepen on Oct. 28, 1961, and she survives.
Also surviving are their children: Fred (JoAnn) Randolph of Carrollton, Anne (Scott) Walker of Rockbridge, Gary (Bridgett) Randolph of Chatham, grandchildren: Matt Randolph, Megan Albrecht, Blake Marshall, Kristen Smith, Lily Randolph, William Randolph, great-grandchildren: Carter and Kyndal Randolph, Logan and Ellie Albrecht, and Addie and Aiden Smith and a sister-in-law: Evelyn Randolph of Jerseyville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law: Michael Marshall, brothers: George Preston (and wife Leona) Randolph, John Randolph, Tom (and wife Mary Jane) Randolph, and sister: Ruth (and husband Boris) Dahmas.
Bill was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and a lifelong farmer.
A private family visitation will be held. A public funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John’s Catholic Church in Carrollton on Wednesday at 11 A.M. Masks are requested.
