Rock Island City Council to Meet Tonight, Discuss Jumers Crosssing Options

The Rock Island City Council has a big challenge ahead for the ambitious Jumers Crossing project. The Rock Island City Council will meet tonight at 6:45 Pm, the first meeting since receiving petitions from the Village of Milan and residents of Big Island opposing the City's plan to build a massive retail and entertainment center near Jumers Casino. The City's plan would require cutting apart a levy that Milan claims to own. The Rock Island City Council tonight will discuss how to move forward with the Jumers Crossing project and their decision could lead to a court showdown with Milan.
