The Lincoln Douglas Square in Alton filled once again to celebrate the city's annual tree lighting ceremony. Carolers performed while children had the opportunity to visit Mr. and Mrs. Claus. The Salvation Army was on hand to give out cookies and hot chocolate. The tree lighting also marks the start of the Salvation Army's annual Red Kettle Campaign. Once the tree lighting festivities concluded, the RiverBender.com community Center hosted its yearly open house. Mr. and Mrs Claus were on hand once again while children enjoyed games and raffle prizes courtesy of Hit N Run.
